The 250th Navy Birthday Ball is a formal celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the establishment of the United States Navy, founded on October 13, 1775. This milestone event honors two and a half centuries of Navy heritage, traditions, and the dedication of Sailors who have served our nation. The evening includes ceremonial observances, a distinguished guest speaker, dining, and entertainment.
Q: When and where will the Mid-South 250th Navy Birthday Ball take place?
The Mid-South 250th Navy Birthday Ball will be held on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 at The Columns in Memphis, TN from 1700 to 2300 with early check-in at 1600. Cocktail Hour will be held from 1700-1800.
Q: Who is eligible to attend the Mid-South 250th Navy Birthday Ball?

The event is open to active-duty service members, veterans, retirees, civilian employees, family members, and event supporters. All attendees must purchase a ticket in advance.
Q: How can I purchase tickets?
Tickets may be purchased online by clicking on the "Purchase Ticket" button below. Please note that the last day to purchase tickets is September 30th. Early ticket purchase is encouraged, as seating is limited.

Q: What is the dress code for the event?
The dress code is formal. For military personnel, the prescribed uniform is:
E1-E6: Service Dress Blues
E7-O3: Dinner Dress Blues
O4-O10: Dinner Dress Blue Jacket (Mess Dress with Blue Jacket)
Other Service or Foreign Military: Equivalent
For Civilians, formal evening attire such as gowns or black tie is requested.
*** While the prescribed uniform is required for the ceremony, military guests are more than welcome to change into civilian formal evening attire upon conclusion of the official ceremony. ***
Q: Can I purchase drink tickets at the event?
Yes. The bar will be operating on a drink-ticket system only. No cash. Drink tickets are currently on sale for $6 and can be purchased with event tickets. Drink tickets will be available for purchase at the Navy Ball for $8.
Q: What are the parking arrangements for the event?
The Columns is connected to the One Commerce Square Garage (120 Union Ave.), a nine-story parking garage. Other options include the First Park Garage (21 S. 2nd St.), Blues Garage (149 Peabody Pl.) along with surface lots and garages in the surrounding blocks.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow ample time for parking and check-in. Early check-in starts at 1600.
